Start with the vendor and product name
Oracle's construction and engineering portfolio and ARES PRISM are not interchangeable names. In a January 31, 2023 announcement, ARES PRISM described its rebrand to Contruent and the launch of Contruent Enterprise. This page does not treat the combined label Oracle ARES as a verified single software product.
If that label appears in an old shortlist, proposal or internal spreadsheet, check the license, contract and vendor URL. It could refer to separate systems in the same project environment; the name alone is insufficient to select a feature list or price.
Oracle: choose the relevant construction product
Oracle lists several products with different roles. Its portfolio describes Primavera Cloud for planning, scheduling, resources and risk; Aconex for construction information and collaboration; and Textura Payment Management for payment workflows. Identify the exact product and configuration before asking whether a takeoff tool can replace it.
A schedule, a document-control process and a payment application have different requirements. Write down the outputs you need, the teams who approve them and any contractual format or integration. A feature comparison based only on an enterprise vendor name will miss those differences.
ARES PRISM and Contruent: capital-project controls
The Contruent Enterprise product page describes capital-project cost and schedule management and links to product areas for estimating, quantities, contracts and cost controls. Check which modules and deployment apply to your team. Cost control is not, by itself, evidence of a bundled unit-price database, and invoice handling does not establish a particular AIA form workflow.
The rebrand announcement is a source for the name change, not proof that an existing installation has every current cloud feature.
