This Privacy Policy explains how CyanBuild (“we”, “us”, or “CyanBuild”) collects, uses, and protects information when you use our AI construction takeoff and estimating platform at cyanbuild.com (the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here.
1. Information We Collect
Information you provide
- Account information: name, email address, and password when you sign up, plus organization and team details you enter.
- Project content: the drawings, PDFs, plans, takeoffs, estimates, cost data, and notes you upload or create in the Service.
- Billing information: payment details processed by our billing partner, Whop. We do not store full card numbers on our servers.
- Support communications: messages you send us for help or feedback.
Information collected automatically
- Usage data: pages viewed, features used, and approximate device and browser information, collected via privacy-respecting analytics.
- Technical logs: IP address, timestamps, and error logs needed to operate, secure, and debug the Service.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide, operate, and improve the takeoff and estimating features.
- To run AI detection and counting over the drawings you upload, and to generate takeoffs and estimates from them.
- To authenticate you, secure your account, and prevent fraud or abuse.
- To process payments and manage your subscription.
- To send service-related notices, and — only with your consent — product updates.
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.
3. How AI Processing Works
When you upload a drawing, CyanBuild runs computer-vision and AI models to detect, count, and measure elements on the plan. Your drawings and the takeoff results are processed to deliver the Service to you. We rely on third-party AI and infrastructure providers to run parts of this pipeline. Do not upload drawings that contain information you do not want processed for takeoff purposes.
4. Cookies and Local Storage
We use essential cookies and browser local storage to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, and operate the app. We use analytics to understand aggregate usage. We do not sell data to advertisers and do not use cross-site advertising trackers.
5. Data Sharing and Sub-Processors
We share information only as needed to operate the Service:
- Billing: Whop processes subscription payments.
- AI and infrastructure: cloud and AI providers that run the takeoff and estimating pipeline, store files, and host the application.
- Analytics: a privacy-respecting analytics provider to measure usage.
- Legal compliance: where required by law or to protect our rights and the safety of others.
We do not sell your personal information or drawings to third parties.
6. Data Security
We use industry-standard safeguards including encrypted transit (TLS), access controls, and isolated processing. No service is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your account and content and to respond promptly to security issues.
7. Data Retention
We keep your project content for as long as your account is active. You can delete projects or your account at any time; we remove associated data from active systems within a reasonable period, subject to backup retention and legal obligations.
8. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at the email below. We will not discriminate against you for exercising privacy rights.
9. International Users
CyanBuild is operated from the United States. If you use the Service from outside the U.S., your information may be processed in the U.S. and other regions where our providers operate. By using the Service, you consent to that transfer.
10. Children’s Privacy
The Service is intended for construction professionals and businesses. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 16. If you believe a minor has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy. Material changes will be posted here with a new “Last updated” date. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated policy.
