Which Tally product is on your shortlist?
The name Tally alone is not enough to identify a construction software product. Tally Systems lists Stratosphere for cloud PDF takeoff, QuickMeasure OS for PDF-plan takeoff, and EarthWorks for excavation work. TallyPrime from Tally Solutions is a separate accounting and business-management product.
Check the vendor's web address, the product name on your subscription, and the work you need to complete. A takeoff tool and an accounting system solve different parts of a contractor's workflow; a shared word in their names does not establish shared features, ownership or pricing.
Stratosphere: plans, takeoff and spreadsheets
The official Stratosphere description documents browser access to plans, takeoff and markup tools, and an Excel add-in linking quantities to spreadsheet cells. That is a broader workflow than a simple counter. For your evaluation, use a drawing with a known scale, trace a representative area and length, count a repeated symbol, and check the resulting quantities in your estimating spreadsheet.
Confirm the current browser and Excel requirements directly with the vendor. Ask which team features are available in the subscription you are considering. This comparison does not assign an AI detection, built-in cost database or AIA billing capability from the generic name Tally.
TallyPrime: accounting is a separate requirement
TallyPrime's official product page describes accounting, inventory and invoicing. If those are your requirements, evaluate the accounting product's local tax support, ledger workflow and integrations. Do not infer construction drawing measurements from an accounting feature list or treat a PDF takeoff trial as an accounting-system replacement.
Where to compare CyanBuild
CyanBuild provides PDF takeoff and estimating. Compare it with the exact Tally Systems product you use on the same sample plan. Record detected quantities, omissions, manual corrections and the final estimate. Match scale, units, assemblies and review time before deciding whether either workflow fits your bids.
For accounting, excavation models or an existing spreadsheet process, list the outputs and integrations you need separately. This page does not establish that CyanBuild replaces every Tally product or that one tool is faster or more accurate. Check CyanBuild plan features and the vendor's current product terms before choosing a subscription.
Documentation checked October 1, 2026. These are separately identified products; no independent performance benchmark was performed.
CyanBuild plans for your evaluation
Free: 3 PDF pages per month; Starter: $29/month for 30 PDF pages; Pro: $99/month for 120 PDF pages; Enterprise: $299/month for 400 PDF pages. Paid subscriptions renew even when usage is low. Check current plan features and terms, then test a representative drawing and review the quantities before choosing a plan.
Frequently Asked Questions
Are Tally Systems and TallyPrime the same product?
No. Tally Systems presents construction takeoff products including Stratosphere, QuickMeasure OS and EarthWorks. TallyPrime is published by Tally Solutions for accounting and business management. Use the vendor and product name to identify the software.
What does Stratosphere do for construction takeoff?
Tally Systems documents browser-based plan access, takeoff and markup, plus an Excel add-in for connecting quantities to spreadsheet cells. Confirm current feature availability and system requirements with the vendor.
Does a Tally product include AI takeoff or AIA billing?
The answer depends on the exact product, version and subscription. The sources reviewed here do not establish a single AI-takeoff or AIA-billing capability for every product using the Tally name. Ask the vendor to demonstrate the workflow on your own project.
Can CyanBuild replace my Tally workflow?
Compare the required workflow first. PDF quantities and an estimate can be evaluated on the same drawing; accounting, excavation modelling and established spreadsheet integrations need their own checks. A blanket replacement claim would skip those requirements.
